North East Medical Reserve Corps:About

TRAINING CLASSES MAY INCLUDE Many classes are free to NEMRC members while others charge a small fee for materials and instructors. Classes are taught by NEMRC members and partnering agencies.

The following four classes are taught in collaboration with our partners at Trinity Ambulance.

START is a simple triage and rapid treatment process to quickly triage multiple victims of a natural or man-made disaster/incident to include terrorism and flu pandemics by first responders in 30 seconds or less per victim. It does not require advance knowledge or assessment skills of the first responder.

JUMPSTART is a simple triage and rapid treatment process for children age 1 to 8 years to quickly triage multiple children of a natural or man-made disaster/incident to include terrorism, flu pandemics, school bus accident etc. by first responders in 15 seconds or less per child. It does not require advance knowledge or assessment skill of the first responder and you do not have to take START triage class to attend JUMPSTART class.

PERSONAL DISASTER PREPAREDNESS CLASS for yourself and your loved ones, will provide you with the latest information and tools to prepare you and your family by preparing yourself, family, home and neighbors if a natural or man-made disaster should happen in your town or state. This information can and will save lives if a disaster should happen.
